This morning i try to turn on comp.. like usual, it does fine. I close programs. run eq2 / winamp etc. After 5 min it shuts down.

So i re-start it.. works for 2 min, then same thing.

Now it just closes after 10 second of trying to turn it on. The fan works and all.. though its dusty, i dunno if that matters.

I have no idea whats going on and it sucks.

That or it is overheating...

Get a can of compressed air and clean the motherfucker. (processor and video card fan/heatsinks)

Seeing as you don't know even that, I'd suggest you have someone find out if your heatsink on the processor is properly seated. DON'T do it yourself unless you are comfortable with the possibility of you fucking shit up.

do you have a fan on your vid card? if so check to make sure it is running at a realtivly fast speed...an overheated video card will do that too.best have to check is wait till it geeks unplug it from the wall then touch the video card. if your finger leaves skin behind or you use the words "Mother fucker!!! That bitch is hot!!!" replace the cooler.
