Hard family times

Postby kinghooter00 » Wed Jan 17, 2007 6:14 pm

Well, my girl is feeling a little depressed about having to stay home all day with the young one while i work all a day and throughout some of the night. She really doesn't get to do much and it seems like she might be going alittle bit crazy. I feel terrible but theres nothing i can do. She is home all the time. Always cleans and cooks me dinner and everything. Seems like she can't do anything for herself. Just wondering if any of the girls in NT been through the same situation of one person working while the other stays home. I am stuck on things to do to fix this dilemma.

well, now that she's given birth to your spawn, she needs to leave you for a bunch of women so she can raise your child without having to deal with you. if she doesn't think this will make her happy, then she should start knitting.

Get a sitter, take her out to a nice dinner, and then take her to a club and have some drinks and go dancing with her. Is a 4-hour outing too long to be away from the baby? Anyway, if you do this for her she will appreciate it and have fun.

I dont know how old you kid is because I dont follow your posts that carefully, but could it be PPD? Thats kinda how I felt, like I was going nuts, I didnt want the kids because I was home all the time with them so I was constantly trying to pawn off my children to our parents.

If its been awhile, she is like that because being home all day without much adult contact fucking sucks. Can you put the kids in day care and she can go do stuff like volunteer somewhere or get a job or something? She'd probably feel happier if she were doing something that involved adults. Or like Mindia said, hire a sitter once a week and go out. I really liked that too.

I hope to god you are giving her some time ALONE. It can be a nice long soak in the tub...an evening where she goes to some lame Tupperware party (or something like it)...anything where she can get away from you and the kid.

Have her check and see if there's a local Mom's Night Out group of some sort.

Raising a child is a full time job 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I am sure you get tired when you get home from work, but take some of the responsibility off her shoulders. Have her go take a bubble bath. Take her out once a week, or once every two weeks. Let her go out with some of her friends while you sit home with the baby. She needs to be around adults and have some adult interaction.

/captain on

leave the bitch and get a girl who isnt starting to sag because she had a kid

/captain off

no really she needs time away.. bubble bath is a good idea. beleive it or not i agree with mindia. those mother groups are hook up joints and are trolled by lesbians
instead of a night club i would go with quiet dinner. loud banging noises isnt much of a change from what she is getting right now

This is a woman's job and what they were put on the planet to do.

You men have some fucked up ideas.

Mom's groups don't 'hook up'. They are just there to get you away from the kids for a bit. And to have people to talk with that don't drool or hang on you.

Yeah, even though I'm not a mom myself, one of my friends who was a new mother started a forum for Georgia moms to hang out at. I attended a couple of the "Mom's Night Out" sessions for moral support for her, and they were pretty tame. They would order a couple drinks, and mostly end up talking about their kids. Usually met at a restaurant or something. I've had wilder nights playing video games.

To echo everyone else, the very best thing you can do for her is let her have a couple hours to herself every night. Let her do whatever she needs to do to escape for a little while, and unwind.

If he does this as well as he posts, i feel sorry for the woman and the kid.

I take it this is the 1st kid.

try this
1. as suggested, get her out of the house for awhile.
2. do something nice and don't tell her about it. let her find out on her own. - make sure its something that will make her feel appreciated.
3. get a babysitter and take her out.
4. randomly repeat this.
For you
