How come it's alright for you to do these things, but it's not alright for someone to be homosexual?

Because the Lord strictly forbids it in the Bible, not just once or twice, but several times. Since it is mentioned so many times, it must be pretty important, no?

Maybe it's different up North...

Every liberal I know believes, "Worship how you want, fuck who you want, be happy. Here are my views... we may disagree but that's what personal freedom is all about!"

Most Conservative Christians I know believe, "Worship how you want, if you disagree, you are going to burn for all eternity in the deepest bowels of hell."

There is a big difference. Even the most 'close-minded' liberals that might say, "here are my views, if you disagree - you are wrong," may walk away hating you... but they still aren't going door to door to tell you this. I remain in preference of the quiet types.

Nobody is saying that we will hate you for being a Christian. We are saying, do your own thing... make yourself happy... Just... Don't tell us to live by YOUR laws. Almost every liberal view is based on CHOICE. I can choose to smoke pot. I can choose to terminate a pregnancy. I can choose to buy medicines that were developed from stem-cels. I can choose to use gene therapy to alter my cellular structure to cancel diabetes. I can choose to marry my homosexual lover. How the hell are the liberals the close-minded?? My Bible says, no gays, no abortion, no pot, no fucking with genes, no stem-cels... if you believe otherwise, you are going to hell.

I guess I don't see the intolerance that you guys are raving about. Maybe it's a Southern thing... being in the minority and all.

Tossica is an especial case. He hates everyone.

There are approximately thirty times more passages that talk about loving your neighbor, speaking kindly to one another and 'not' swearing. Why not focus on those?

You know those who are most strongly against homosexuality are almost always closet homosexuals themselves.

...so wait a minute... it's all gravy for your messiah to hang out with hookers and touch lepers... oh, how compassionate. But when it comes to trying to follow the guidelines presented right in front of you and accepting people, gays are right out? How fucking disgusting.

You've forgotten the story of the Good Samaritan I take it?

You're absolutely right. I should be doing that. I was just getting a little hot under the collar reading some of the mindless drivel being posted here and I lost my temper.

:cough: You know what homophobia *really* means, right?

For the record, I don't think Mindia is gay. But we cannot have a thread about religion and homosexuality where I don't insinuate that he's a closet case. It's tradition. :boots:

This is the song that I'm currently listening to. Bocelli is so dreamy.
Gi? la sento,
Gi? la sento morire,
Per? ? calma sembra voglia dormire;
Poi con gli occhi
Lei mi viene a cercare,
Poi si toglie
Anche l’ultimo velo,
Anche l’ultimo cielo,
Anche l’ultimo bacio.
Ah, forse colpa mia,
Ah, forse colpa tua,
E cos? son rimasto a pensare.
Ma la vita,
Ma la vita cos’?
Tutto o niente,
Forse neanche un perch?
Con la mani
Lei mi viene a cercare,
Poi mi stringe,
Lentamente mi lascia,
Lentamente mi stringe,
Lentamente mi cerca.
Ah, forse colpa mia,
Ah, forse colpa tua,
E cos? sono rimasto a guardare.
E lo chiamano amore,
E lo chiamano amore,
E lo chiamano amore
Una spina nel cuore
Che non fa dolore.
? un deserto
Questa gente
Con la sabbia
In fondo al cuore
E tu,
Che non mi senti pi?
Che non mi vedi pi?
Avessi almeno il coraggio
E la forza di dirti
Che sono con te
(ave maria, ave maria.)
Ah, forse colpa mia,
Ah, forse colpa mia,
E cos? sono rimasto cos?
Son rimasto cos?

Gi? la sento
Che non pu? pi? sentire;
In silenzio
Se n’? andata a dormire,
? gi? andata a dormire.

I bought my girlfriend a necklace from Tiffany's once. I used to have a lot more money too. I've seen her wear it thrice.

Write this on a piece of paper and paste it to your bathroom mirror so you see it everyday:

"I am a liberal atheist, but I shouldn't support ridiculous things like gay marriage, gay/muslim/black/asian/hispanic/white, etc. clubs in schools, abolishing the pledge of allegiance from schools because it says "Under God" in it, taking "In God We Trust" off our currency, supporting abortion because being a parent is "inconvenient" for me at this time, and showing hatred towards Christianity, because these things are destructive to the moral fabric upon which this nation was founded."

Read it. Know it. Live it. MEMORIZE it. And put it into practice every day. Then and only then will we have a peacful, harmonious, undivided nation.

Mindia,

Your entire faith is based on lies.

And also, there is no law against coloring your hair and piercing yourself. There is a law (a very old law) that states that we have to keep religion out of public institutions.

If you want your kid to learn about God in school, send the kid to a Catholic school. Just like if you don't want your kid to watch South Park, turn the channel.

But don't be a moron and try to shove your beliefs on everyone else in the world. Besides being completly alienating to people who don't share your beliefs, it's as unAmerican as you can get.

I'm not telling you how to live you fucking inbred redneck. I'm telling you to do your own thing, no matter how crazy people might think you are, but let me do my own thing too without you shoving your fucking beliefs down my throat.

I have a bracelet from Tiffany's that was a graduation gift. I never take it off, so at least they're getting their money's worth out of my gift.

And why would Taxx write that and follow it, Mindia? Those are your morals, not his.

Ugzugz, tell me what you truly believe to be the one-sentence opinion of the average liberal.

I'll give you a nice guideline -My sentence for the average conservative Christian: "I believe very strongly in the teachings of the Bible and if you disagree, in any way, you are going to hell."

Your turn.

You say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
But I know you just don't care

CHORUS:
And I said what about "Breakfast at Tiffany's?
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

I see you - the only one who knew me
And now your eyes see through me
I guess I was wrong
So what now? It's plain to see we're over,
And I hate when things are over -
When so much is left undone

CHORUS:
And I said what about "Breakfast at Tiffany's?
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."

You say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
But I know you just don't care

CHORUS:
And I said what about "Breakfast at Tiffany's?
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think, we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, that's the one thing we've got."
