Not one of em has done anything, yet there all gonna make crazy money cause of there Tremendous Upside Potential.

And therein is the problem with professional sports nowadays.

I think it sucks ass, personally but it's the nature of the beast.

I remember playing minor hockey with a few guys who are currently NHL'ers

They're making $3million+ a year

they were never the 1st guys picked for teams, but they always seemed like they could be awesome

it's weird

I still think that Kwame 'has' potential. I saw him 'really' try in a few games... he HAS talent... maybe not first overall pick talent, but it's definitely there. I'd put him at #1 on that list.

Dalembert will be the best out of those 4, he has alot of potential. He had to leave ( Seton Hall, Or Holy Cross? ) one of those early for financial reasons for his family, so he could of been better when he came out. He had like 19 rebounds in game 1 vs Detroit this year in the playoffs, 9 in the first quarter. He will definetly be better than Kwame.

Chandler will be solid for any team

Curry is overrated

Hopefully Phil Jackson can get Kwame to try if the trade goes through, then maybe he will be as good as Tyson

Personally I see Chandler as being the best. He's like a tall Rodman with a better scoring feel around the basket. When the guy is on he's on of the best defensive players in the league. If only he would drop those 3 rebound nights.

If Curry can stay healthy he is the one guy on the list that i see that can come in and potentially dominate against any team in the NBA. He's got a better basketball I.Q. than Chandler from what i noticed last year. The kid is no future Shaq as he was labeled coming into the league but he is a dominating big man on offense.

One of the local columnists here in the Bay Area seems rather high on Curry, despite worries about the irregular heartbeat. The Warriors apparently already considered trading for Curry once before, but it never happened. He was thinking that the Warriors could lessen their logjam at PF, and upgrade the overall team by doing sign & trade stuff with the Bulls, to the following tune:

Meanwhile, Mullin knows that he has to replace center Adonal Foyle -- it's a good thing he has collected so many valuable assets to offer in a sign-and-trade package. (Because they're over the cap, the Warriors can't sign free agents outright.)

Mullin drafted Ike Diogu at Troy Murphy's spot, has Mickael Pietrus and Mike Dunleavy at small forward and could toss in several other players as fillers.

A wild proposal: Murphy, Pietrus (two players the Bulls like) and Foyle for Curry, forward Andres Nocioni, backup guard Jannero Pargo and a No. 1 pick.

The money's about right, assuming that Curry (three years, $27 million) and Pargo want to come to the Warriors and agree to semi-reasonable deals.

No clue if he's out in loony-land or anything. *shrug* heh.

Tim Kawakami is a retard. He hasnt been right on anything since he started writing for the San Jose Mercury News. I think i would trade Dunleavy before I trade Pietrus.

On the list, I agree with Vonkaar. Kwame Brown is the best out of those 4 but he might have an attitude problem since Washington told him to stay home during the playoff.

Yeah, he's a bit clueless. Wish Purdy would be more active these days, he was good. Killion is a bit too into the "societal impact" type article instead of actual sports reporting, generally. Still, she's pretty good.

Sign me up for the Dalembert bandwagon, now that he won't be playing for O'Brien.

I don't get basketball (to me it's really just hockey without goalies)

I don't get how people can get excited over a basket, when there's 100 of them a game

that being said, these guys are incredible athletes, and I can appreciate their athletic abilities, I just think the game sucks

I don't understand why you have to come and say, "btw, I don't like basketball" in like... every bball thread we have.

we get it already =p.

If you want a 'self-help, newbies guide to understanding basketball' thread, go for it. We'll be all over it.

I tried liking it

When we had that CBA league here (before TO and Vancouver getting nba teams) I went to a bunch of homegames for the Saskatoon team

it was kind of fun, but I just couldn't get into it
