NBA Dress code?

Where everyone discusses football, and two dorks try to pretend people actually like the NBA and spam what should be in PMs.

Some black people will pull the race card anytime they are asked to do something they dont like. It's a crutch. It let's them get away with shit. This is no different.

The only reason this ever became a highly debated topic is because of that reflex. If the NBA was a mostly white league, or mostly korean league, or a mostly somoan league, no one would have ever said shit. People would have said, "Yeah, duh. Most multi-million dollar corporations require their employees to wear a suit to work, how is this different. Furthermore, why didn't they do this 10 years ago, 20 years ago?"

However, because there are young black men involved, the screams of racism, prejudice, oppression, etc. are a knee jerk reaction.

It's disgusting.

and allen is a thug has been and always will be.. just cause he doesn't explode a fat guys face on the court during a brawl doesn't mean he doesn't do other stupid shit thats considered thuggery

Haylo.. yea thats true but what isn't hypocritical? But you can be hypocritical and have one of your sides right.. aka the dress code. Same reason high school basketball makes guys with tattoos put patches over them. But again NBA does make a killin with the Lebron mink coat look, and the iverson i am thug till i die look.

I don't see the I am a goodytwoshoe Duncan look selling

Tim Duncan, Yao Ming, Dwayne Wade, Emeka Okafor, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Andrei Kirilenko, and Shaquille O'Neal all made the top twenty list of jersey sales for last season as of 9 Dec 2004. The league has very popular players who are also solid citizens.

Kevin Garnett, a solid citizen, that's a good one. Wasnt he the one who punched his teammate in the face during practice because the teammate was making him look bad?

Susvain, you are such a dumbass. Xao pointed out that KG is a solid citizen. So I pointed out that solid citizens dont go around punched his co-worker in the face.

Well, Garnett doesn't have a track record of bad behavior aside from that incident which, by most accounts, the kid had it coming.

Hell yes Garnett is a solid citizen. He didn't punch anyone in the face because they were making him look bad. Look into what he's done in the Minneapolis area alone sometime.

Ok, that last post was pretty much incoherent. I was attempting to point out that it wasn't as simple as Garnett getting pissed off at someone and taking a swing at them. I don't know that the kid deserved to get punched, but he was definitely being antagonistic from the stories I saw on the matter. I was also attempting to point out, in an unrelated matter, that Garnett's done quite a bit of charitable work in the Twin Cities area.

I like the fact that the first person to cry racism was Stephen Jackson.

The man who ran into the stans *unprovoked* to throw a haymaker at a fan.

How does anyone manage to take these people seriously. I think they should have to wear straight jackets at any NBA event when not in uninform.

I couldn't imagine anyone taking you seriously either.

To each his own.

PS I think Stephen Jackson is a douche.
