Charger's game

Postby Jennay » Thu Apr 06, 2006 3:12 pm

Ok so I have been planning my friend's birthday present way in advance. (Yes, the guy I'm moving in with) He loves the San Diego Chargers but his birthday isn't until August. The schedules have been announced but tickets aren't on sale yet. For his birthday I want to give him a good throwback jersey (Not sure which player yet) or maybe a custom one with his last name. Also I want to give him 2 tickets to a home game (he can take me or a friend of his choice, whatever) So I need some advice.

Jersey? :
Brees (but did he get traded?)
Tomlinson
custom jersey with his last name

Home game tickets?:
Sept 17th Chargers Vs. Titans
Sun Oct 8th Chargers Vs. Steelers

I'm thinking the Steelers game because that should be a real good one, aren't they leading in their divisions or someshit? I don't know much about football yet but I'm learning some here and there. I could do a cheesy game like chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs but that's gonna be real boring. Any advice would be cool or any other good ideas to go with it...I want him to have a very special birthday. Thanks in advance!

ps. lemme know if those are good jerseys to think about... I did a little reading and research on who's good in that team. I'd ask him but I don't want to give away the surprise :)

Tomlinson is the way to go for current jersey.

Throwback jersey possibilities = Fouts, Winslow, even Seau would be good.

Definitely get the tix vs the Steelers, as they are the defending super bowl champs.

Get him a Merriman jersey, he was defensive rookie of the year, and it will be far more unique than a Tomlinson jersey.

You want a good game get tickets vs. Denver, or KC - division games are the best.

Oh yeah, and Pittsburgh is going to steam roll SD. You don't want to take him to a game his team is going to lose badly.

Me Personally if he's a direhard find get him the personalized jerzy they are my favorites and all my friends allways talk about it when I wear it. And I've had random guys at bars come up and ask were I've got em at. I'd also sugest a Division game prob against KC though they'll have a better chance of winning.

Have it say 'Lights Out' on the back.

Ooooh damn, good ideas guys. I never thought about the Steelers thing. I definitely want the Chargers to have a good chance of winning the game I take him too. Not to mention the tickets might be cheaper which means I can spend more on his "personalized" jersey heh. I love that idea. I think he mentioned Merriman before too sooo another good tip. Thanks

Get the throw back jersey with Kinammer or Dorf Paly on the back. If you want an easy win for the Chargers, get the tickets for the game against the Raiders. Oakland is going suck much ass next season.
