Not bad, we get some more stability on D and a gritty glue guy who can still scsore some for the playoff run. Good trades, methinks.

Glad they did it, too, they had to do SOMETHING after the recent slippage.

they overpayed for both, rivet is a scrub. He doesn't make many mistakes but he's really far from anything special, on most any other team he would be a decent 5th defenseman, but in montreal he was a 3rd. Guerin on the other hand was an ok move

I was suprised that the Habs got a first rounder in this years draft from the Sharks for Rivet. Albeit the Sharks had an extra 1st round pick from New Jersey. I am a huge Habs fan but even I think a first rounder was to much for them (the Sharks) to pay for for him.
