Just saw this breaking news on ESPN. I have not seen any pictures or video of it. Anyone see it yet? Just says a fan punched him when he was chasing down a ball that dropped in the outfield near the seats...

1. What if someone attempted to punch you in a cheap manner? How would you respond? Exactly.
2. He is a professional at what he does, he should not have faught back or attempted to. I don't think he really punched him back, just shoved him.

Good question, Aquaman...
Well... If someone "attempted" to punch me and missed and backed off - I wouldn't try to further instigate the situation. Why? Because the legal issues that would arise. If he tries and misses and then backs off and you go for him - YOU are the one in the wrong and will end up either spending time in jail, paying a fine, paying his medical bills, or a combination of the three. However, if someone tried and missed, then tried again I would lay the smack down in the name of self defence.
If someone took a cheap shot at my wife/girlfreind/whatever - then there would be no question - it'd be on.
He had no NEED to fight back. He was on the field and the fan was in the stands... unless the fan jumped out of the stands onto the field and chased him - he had no reason to retaliate with physical force.
