Reggie Miller, dirty player?

I really hate this guy. I think he is a dirty player, he sticks his legs out everytime he is taking a contested three. He's also an asshole, i think 2002 post season, Celtics were down by like 20 points, we inbound the ball with like 2 secnods left, one of the C's players take a half court shot, and reggie blatantly sticks his feet out and tried to trip him, whenever i see the clip i get so angry. But, my friend adores him, and we had a huge argument over Reggie being a dirty player or not. Was i right?
