Well, Dirk just woke up slightly. He hit a 3, then got a block on the defensive end, then got another 3. GS now only up by 3.

10-0 run by the Mavs, GS suddenly went cold. Mavs now lead by 1 and are taking 2 free throws. Davis just got his 6th personal.

Edit: Dallas is goign to win this. Warriors choked at the end and let it slip away. Took a bunch of bad shots, and didn't hit anything for a long time in the game.

Holy shit what a game. WOW

FINALLY Dirk acted like a MVP. In the last 3 minutes...12 points 1 block, acouple of shot alterations, hustle plays, and caused some turnovers. The last 3 minutes is what i expect out of Dirk.....WOW.

If this series goes to 7 games, nomatter who wins it gets my vote as one of the most, if not THE MOST amazing 7 game series ive ever seen. Fantastic game.

still pissed at him...

I'm expecting the Dirk of round2 last year. He's treating this pattie-cake interior defense of Golden State like it's Ben and Sheed.

Maybe this is the game that shows him that he IS THE DIFFERENCE MAKER. Without him, the Mavs will lose this series. This I hope will boost his confidence, and get him out of his funk.

So ummm when is the next game? I was pumped during that game, and i have no emotional investment in either team lol

He'll be fine. All the reports came back clean, they just wanted to make sure he was ok because it was a back injury.

It's funny Vonk, cause your Mavs and my Raps are in the EXACT same position.

Down 3-2, huge road game coming up.

Oakland is a little scarier to play in... although having both your 1s potentially injured makes your situation sticky.

Favorite quote from yesterday...

"Just watched Baron Davis and Jason Terry pretend to want to fight each other, and thought the most interesting part of the 'brawl' was the reaction from Stephen Jackson. If you watch closely, his back is turned to the action at the start of the fight. When he turns around and sees his boy about to get at it, he apparently has an Artest flashback, because the crazed look in his eyes is priceless. Unfortunately, nothing interesting came of it, but for a brief moment we had an HD view into the window of a madman. For some reason I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Stephen Jackson."

Stephen Jackson is insane. If GS does upset Dallas and move on to the net round he might just kill someone.

The next best quote...
Has any city had its collective sports groin kicked in more in 12 months than Dallas has since last June? Summer 2006 gets our hopes up to unprecedented levels as the Mavs pull off the impossible and win an OT Game 7 in San Antonio. So follow that with the worst collapse in NBA Finals history. Two words: Tony Romo. This summer, the Stars (an NHL team ... that's pro hockey for those who forgot) rally back from down 3-1, only to totally fall apart in the third period of Game 7 in Vancouver. And then probably the worst of all, the Mavs win 67 games in preparation for healing the wounds of 10 months ago, only to pull what looks to be the greatest no-show stunt in sports, ever. Have five million people ever simultaneously sworn off sports fandom forever?"

I SO thought that last night... when I came to NT, all pissed off about Dirk's shitty night... my thought process looked like... "Great, so... last year, they called it the greatest meltdown in FINALS history... and now we are going to follow it up with the greatest meltdown in PLAYOFF history. Awesome. And... wtf, the Cowboys and Stars killed me this year too?! WTF?!"

I said the Raps were lucky because I saw them up a ton at the beginning of the game, and when I went back to it at the end of the game, NJ would've won if that 3 at the buzzer had gone in.

We lost both our point guards during the game, lucky us.

Chris Bosh got his third foul called on him early in the third on an unquestionably clean block on Jefferson, lucky us.

Nochbar missed a contested three, after going a blistering 0/6 behind the arc for the game before that, lucky us.

No, it wasn't luck at all, Arlos, had you watched the game you would have known that.

18 minutes in... notes:

Crowd isn't nearly as loud as they were in games 2&3.
Crowd is whining on every call, even some of the most obvious ones... it's kind of funny.
Dirk is being a bitch, take it to the hole man.

well, yeah...

And normally, having a hobbled point-guard would totally slow you down. GS is fast enough that they should be able to keep it going and move it down the court for the open shots. Leave Davis for those 3s that he's DESTROYING. Simply put, Monta Ellis is going to have to have a good game, and not turn it over.
