lolz

I heard some talk about a possible future hockey team in Sacramento. It was just a couple sports-jockeys talking about it on our local sports radio station. Probably just be a vicious rumor.

You should be more worried about the Kings moving to Vegas.

I can't seen the NHL expanding right now, they need to take some time to rebuild some of their weaker markets after the lockout

the detroit game vs edmonton was pretty fun to watch, lot of "ah man" moments for both sides.

i'll admit edmonton put up a hell of a fight, pressured most the shots and dwayne was on the spot. the double OT goal for the win was all luck on detroits part.

Jumping on the thread late, but I'm down with my All-powerful Red Wings to take Lord Stanley's spitoon back to Hockeytown.

San Jose, Hoser, Loser, whatever, not going to win.

Wings / Hurricane rematch - same result.

Tikker, go back to your curling match.

San Jose better tighten up on the penalty kill, or they're going home in a big goddamn hurry.

That Detroit game was good, Dont really think Edmonton has much a chance against Detroit. Detriot really controlled the game, though as Edmonton and even Detroit on the last shot proved, sometimes Luck is enough.

OK, Sharks were MUCH improved on special teams today, and they're going back to the Shark tank. Even in game 1, the sharks dominated the Preds in 5 on 5. If they keep that up at home, we should be going back to Nashville up 3-1 after games 3 & 4.

If the wings play like they did last night, I'll have to agree with Tikker and they'll get bumped in round 1, and that will suck for true.

They may have good puck control but if they can't make shots due to this fucked up Edmenton "EGG" formation LOL, wings will be screwed.

I did see a few things in last nights game that should have been called and it seemed the oilers would have been in a worse situation had they been called.

Is it me or did that game seem to have more hits then most of the playoff games?

rofl, egg formation?

that's called a neutral zone trap

only a slight variation from the defense Detroit plays (left wing lock)

I was bout it bout it when the refs decided to actually let them play. I loved seeing some hitting again, its not all that often you see that kinda thing in Wings games... which is about all ive watched this season.

Big ups to the refs for letting the boys play, and not calling every single little hook or tie up. If they cant get into it with eachother, playoff hockey wont be the same.

I dont like seeing the trap or so called "egg" system Edmonton is playing, but its working for them thus far. I just hope Babcock is as good as they say, and comes up with a new offense to counter it.

Its also awesome to see all the teams that have played twice, are tied up 1 - 1.

who the hell calls it an "egg" system? whoever it is should be shot for not knowing wtf they're talking about

ps, the trap isn't hard to beat if you can outskate the other team

pps, this is just about the first time ever Edmonton has ever played the trap

ppps, Detroit can't outskate edmonton

The Sharks got smart and pressured Nashville's point guys on the power plays so they don't have all day to make the perfect pass like they did in the first game. That's why the Predators was 0 for 9 on the man advantage.

Great game tonight between Dallas and Colorado. The Avalanches won in overtime 5 - 4.

I am thinking Tikker's assessment of Turco's quality as a playoff goaltender might be somewhat lacking. He's now got a 1-5 playoff record, gave up 5 goals tonight, including what looked to be a soft one in OT.

Avs're gonna win that series, methinks.

Turco is a badass 'regular season' goalie.

We are REALLY grumbling around here =/. TOTALLY letting us down. 2 of those goals last night were ALL on him. The OT one wasn't all his fault though. I had a bad feeling about it for 45 seconds... we just looked tired on D.
