Nope, we were last year... only lost 5 at home... some of which were stupid fucking losses... Atlanta, Denver and the Clippers.

Yeah, so it wasn't a pretty game to watch. But after the heartbreak last year (ie. Dallas destroying us by 30 pts)..I'll take any win they get.

Sonics are 4-1 and they have beat the Spurs, Nuggets and Kings by 19, 20 and 30 points, respectively.

Still early, but Lewis and Allen look like they are one of the best 1-2 punches in basketball atm. NBA.com has em ranked 8th overall. Im telling you playoff bound

There are two teams that I just don't know anything about. This is for a number of reasons, they don't get any pub in Canada, there games dont play on tv, and they are always boring to watch. One is Seattle, the other is Golden State.

I know most of you probably feel the same way about Toronto because everytime anyone attempts to comment on the Raps they are WAY off but thats just how I feel.

Seattle VS Golden State....worst game of the year.

Do you mean Washington Wizards or Charlotte Bobcats? Your statement is correct either way =p.

nuff said? Meaning, you don't know enough about basketball to formulate your own opinion? Just go back and read Malluas' posts in this thread... he worships the BibbyCack much harder than you... and he's lived there forever =p.

Bibby is great but the rest of your team is questionable (for the season). I'd say my two favorites are Bobby Jackson and Bibby... they show up every night with the same drive.

Zan...

what do you think about this?

Nash seems to love this guy...

biggest quote...

"They questioned his commitment? That's bulls---," said Nash. "(Triano's firing) is asinine. It's horrendous ... I never say never, but I doubt if I'll ever play for Canada again."

With those words, Nash shook his head and rubbed a towel against his freshly washed locks.

I left the 'freshly washed locks' bit in because it's fucking hilarious... Nash is so girly haha. He's like Prince Charming from Shrek 2. But... anyway, that's a pretty big deal... best player in Canadias(sic) history saying he'll likely never play for them again.

Yea I heard about the firing about 2 weeks ago.

Understandable that he's upset since Triano has been coaching him off and on for the better part of a decade but I'm sure he'll come down later.

Oh well.

Dirk's game tonight...

31 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals...

When are people going to start putting him in the same category as Tim and Kevin? He does it all man... 7 rebounds is his lowest this year. He's also probably the most coachable player in the league. After his first 'starting' year, he was told that he needs to work on rebounding. So... next year, he adds 3rpg to his line. Next, he's told he needs to assist more... so, he improves his apg by 50%. All the while, his ppg is going from 8 to 17 to 22 to 24 to 25... This year, he's told he needs to SCORE more... to be THE MAN... score, assist, rebound... oh yeah, and defend better. He's currently the anchor to the most defensive Dallas team in 10 years... all the while leading the teams in assists... a 7 foot power forward leading in almost every category.

He's now 4 for 7 on double doubles and the three games where he missed that, he made up for the single-digit rebounds by averaging 4blocks, 4 assists and a couple steals each. That's 'game altering' right there.

He's awesome.

I agree he IS awesome. When will he start to get mentioned with TD/KG? When the Mavs do something in the playoffs.

One first round knockout after another...

But what I do find amazing of that German fool is he manages to get his PPG average higher while INCREASING that insane FG and 3PT %. Every team needs that German shooting doctor he has on the side.

While taken the same amount of shots, it's guarantee that you will increase your ppg when you increase your shooting percentage.

I'm not saying that he's equal to either of them... I'm saying that he's at least comparable.

Also, we've gone over the defense issue already... Dirk is playing excellent defense this year... like I predicted. His biggest weakness was in the people surrounding him. Nash couldn't guard Marv Albert. The various centers in the recent Mavs history were all shitty defenders. He's basically had... Finley, and he's a backcourt player so... wasn't as important.... that's it. All of the sudden, he's surrouned by good players... good defensive-minded players... and he's doing very well.
