I would hate to see any player get seriously hurt enough to end their career - but Ownes is just being stupid. He's going to play today and WITHOUT the doctors' full backing. FOR ONE game he's willing to risk the rest of his career.

1- Owens is one of the best conditioned athletes in any sport
2- The Doctor HAS to say that - if he clears him and he gets hurt he is liable.
3- When you work your whole life for something - and this is a chance t do it - you go for it. he is in his 9th year, his shelf life is not another 5 or 6 chances at a super bowl - possibly another 2 if he gets lucky. this isn't just one game, ask Dan Marino if he would play in a superbowl if the circumstances were the same.
4- If he can cut on it he will be fine - which he has been doing.
5- 7 - 10 weeks if for the average person, but again refer to number one- I am not a TO fan, but this man puts his time off the field in.

Well I hope he doesn't get a career ending injury from this. I don't like Philly at all, nor do I like TO, but I would hate to seem his career ended.

ya but if he gets hurt and needs more surgery -> more money to Mark Myerson (his surgeon) --> more money to Mercy Medical Center (my employer) --->more money for raises to me!!

J/K I hope he doesn't get hurt either. I'm not that evil. He deserves this chance.
Myerson had to wipe his hands clean in case he did get hurt.

Owens pretty much was the Philly O for most of the game. Its a good thing he played, or this game would've been ugly.
