The Baltimore Sun's Laura Vecsey reports the Baltimore Orioles want Colorado Rockies 1B Todd Helton and his huge contract that pays him an average of $15.7 million per year through 2011. One potential trade offer consists of 1B Jay Gibbons, OF Nick Markakis, SP Hayden Penn and RP John Parrish.
I have been searching everywhere else I could to find more info on this apparently breaking news, but I can't find any.
As you know, Helton plays in Coors Field, which is said the premiere hitters ballpark. I noticed this and took a look at his stats over the past three season at home and on the road:

His statistics are still good, carrying an above .300 average, but I am curious to see how his home run numbers deflat playing at another ball park.
Forgot to mention, he has the best glove out of any first basemen in the league. I don't care what anyone says, he is better than Derek Lee.
