Battlegrounds patch

Postby Jennay » Wed Jun 08, 2005 9:50 am

I don't even want to play this expansion, I wish I could choose whether or not I want to use the space on my computer to store it's info though :(

Hmm uninstall EQ or no?

I don't know. I hate PVP. I like the game because I like to socialize. I might give it a try. Jennay try cleaning up your hard drive, that might make a little more room for you. If not, I got my 80gig on sale for $50

What level do I have to be to enjoy it, Tikker? I'm only level 18 so far :gamer:

So far I like the PvP server I'm on because I found out that when you lose, you don't actually die, you just bow out :) Oh and I finally bit the bullet and uninstalled EQ. That free'd up like over 5mb(is that the right unit term?)

GB.

It's not really an expansion, it's just a content patch. 99% of the people who I've talked to bash pvp until they really give it a good try (if there are even teams or close to it). Sure fighting computer controlled creatures can be fun, but it's not very challenging, nothing is more fun to fight than another human.

PVP is fucking fun. Most people have had lame experiences with it in the past and don't bother even trying it in WoW. Mostly they are a bunch of pussies and whiners so it's no real big loss.

Get rid of the pictures of the goofy looking white guy. That opens two right there.

The biggest problem with PvP was always the imbalance in sides

BG enforces even teams, so it's pretty good

the only thing that's really frustrating me right now is the lameass warrior charge

dude charges thru an icetrap, gets trapped, yet I still end up stunned, even tho the niglet is an icecube 15 feet away

I started out on a PvE server (Whisperwind) made it to 58, then some friends started playing on Dethecus (PvP). I rolled a rogue there. He's now 40 and PvP is frigging GREAT! I own more than I get owned. Haven't tried BGs yet, but from what I have heard, it's pretty fun.

I like the idea that Blizz made a "Capture the Flag" type play style in northern Barrens. People have told me that it can last from 30 minutes to hours. In contrast the the Alterac Mnts. "War" style that can last forever. Again, I haven't tried these. It's only what I heard. Any info would be helpful before I try either.

I was always the one who bashed PvP because I'm a big sore loser, so unfortunately, even though my bard in EQ got to be pretty good, I never really tried PvP with her. What a shame =/ Now that I have dueled with people in WoW, I find it fun! People aren't complete asses, you don't have to go on a corpse run, and you get a good challenge you wouldn't get from a normal npc mob. I won my first duel when I was level 13, it was against a level 21! I kicked his ass and only one because I had a healthstone(?).. something my warlock summons when she has a soul shard on her, and puts her back at 100%hp. This guy probably sucked ass anyway, but I was quite proud :)

Oh, and I get a rush out of clashing with the Horde on my server when they try to invade an alliance town :) I'm sure it's just as fun being Horde, but I tried and to be honest, I made an undead, travelled 10 feet and couldn't tell what were the mobs and what was amiable to me, and died over and over. Horde just wasn't for me and since I tried on Taxx's server, I knew I couldn't be anything but Horde to be able to talk to him. I like being a gnome lol.

I tried the BG capture the flag last night. Talk about fun! I went to bed 2 hours later than I normally do because the Alliance were so stupid.

I participated in 6 games of capture the flag. 6 wins in 6 games. Not one time did the AF get our flag back to their base. We were stomping them! Also got 67 HKs out of it and for every win I got 1350 exp. 8100 exp total. 1 more game and I would have been 41. But I needed sleep badly.

The wait time to get into a battle wasn't very long either. Took me 15 minutes the first time, then only a few seconds the rest of the time.

I will be back there after work tonight, most definately! I highly recommend it.
