I wonder if they expected for the zone to be beated within 48 hours of the patch?

Well since it's a zone made for guilds that can't field 40 peeps for MC, I think it wasnt a big surprise.

with GM help yeah... not sure if they did it without though

for MC/BWL equipped guilds it's not too difficult at all, the panther boss is probably the hardest thing there to actually fight, and once you find the trick with hakkar it makes the fight pretty trivial if you can just wait long enough.

the guild i was playing with cleared it in two days with a lotta deaths, but once they got them out of the way and figured out the bosses they feel that it's pretty much farm status now

once the strats get spread around and are common knowledge i don't doubt that people will lead PUGs there fairly soon

We killed everything ourselves with no side strats, but tried 1 shot at hakkar and called it a night. And the panther boss is harder then hakkar, i hear. We finally killed him and he dropped a 18 slot bag...that was it...sigh

learning the encounters was fun as fuck tho, besides dying 10 times. The panther boss is extremly easy once you figure out how to kill her tho.

http://terranova.blogs.com/terra_nova/2 ... .html#more

Is this for real? Have they actually implemented a plague in WoW?

Heres the skinny: Blizzard adds in a new instance, Zul'Gurub. Inside is the god of blood, Hakkar. Well, when you fight him he has a debuff called Corrputed Blood. It does like 250-350 damage to palyers and affects nearby players. The amazing thing is SOME PLAYERS have brought this disease (and it is a disease) back to the towns, outside of the instance. It starts spreading amongst the genral population including npcs, who can out generate the damage. Some servers have gotten so bad that you can't go into the major cities without getting the plague (and anyone less than like level 50 nearly immediately die).

GM's even tried quarantining players in certain areas, but the players kept escaping the quarentine and infect other players.

EDIT It's also here: http://buzz.yahoo.com/buzz_log/entry/2005/09/20/1700/

Menlaan, when you are fighting Hakkar and are close to him he casts a DoT on you that spreads from person to person. People would get the DoT and go back to Ironforge or such and it would spread from NPC to NPC and player to player. There is no way to get rid of it besides dying.

Edit: I just realized i told you what that quote said, but anyways yes it's true.

That's pretty cool. Although, dying's no big deal anyway, right?
