Youre worried and willing to shell out money for a small pause when turning in a crowded city?

Just seems silly (to me) to pay that much for a pause that normally ocrrects itself after the computer loads that bit (like I can turn around, get a pause but if I turn to that same spot again, its fine)

I guess you're idea of "that much" and my idea of "that much" is different.

Besides, if windows xp only recognizes up to 2 gigs of ram (as stated in a previous post by someone else) than it wouldn't hurt to have the maximum. :dunno:

And don't get me wrong, it has nothing to do with how much money either of us have, it probably has everything to do with the fact that you have kids and I don't. When you see $109 you probably think "baseball uniforms" and "new sneakers", when I see $109 I think "more ram" or "a few more dvd's".

I buy DVDs with extra cash too....they just happen to be Blues Clues and Dora DVDs :(

It also has little to do with the kids. I'm not a computer person. I just bought a new camera and a bunch of extra junk recently. RAM never has and never will cross my mind when I have extra money. Gid on the other hand...

Oh I thought there was some sort of underground movement like hairdressers give hair extension. Dickdressers giving dick extensions.

I also throw in big loud trucks in the catagory of penis extenders. They make up for a small penis with a big bad truck.

One more question from the n00b.

So I got two 1 gig ram strips for a total of 2 gigs.

I have four slots for the ram to go in. The old memory (2X512) were in:

One slot
Empty Slot
One Slot
Empty slot

So should I skip slots again with the 2 1 gig strips?

Yes.

Each of those two slots is a single channel, which is why you need to copy it and install the new RAM identically, in slots 1 and 3.

If you install the RAM in the first 2 slots, you are only using the first channel.

And you think I shouldn't put the 2 512 strupes in slots 2 and 4? What could it hurt? They're just sitting in a drawer right now. You don't think it would help WoW run a little faster? I have Windows Xp Professional.

I wouldn't, no. They won't add any performance, and will make things less stable.
