Trade Skill items thread

Postby vonkaar » Wed Sep 29, 2004 1:14 pm

I thought about this last night...

Who knows how many items I've sold to vendors that one of you could have used? I got a 'sharp talon' last night and would have sold it if unhappyfish didn't point out that it's a nice item for smithing, so I save it for Atensen. Sooo... I thought we could have a little thread where people know to save shit for each other.

What tradeskill items should I keep for you? Later, I'll put together a list of tailoring stuff that I will need.

Or... is this just something that everyone does anyway because they already know every item for every tradeskill, and I'm just a huge newb?

Items with a white name are used for some kind of trade skill.

Items with a grey name are just for selling.

You should take up mining and mine every vein that you find for me. Be my little bitch. Be it.

I wouldn't mind doing that... I pick up herbs all the time just because it's a little extra money for me. I seem to see veins more than herbs anyway.

That brings up an interesting point for release.

When the game goes live I am thinking of just mastering two gathering skills, like Skinning, Mining or Herbalism, and just supply the guild with everything I get. This way if we concentrate on a few quality tradeskillers, instead of everyone sucking at it, it benefits everyone.

Thoughts.

I thought about that too... people who plan on that as soon as the game goes live will be ahead... even if it's just 2 or 3 people.

George is a priest who will be a miner and a tailor.
Jeff is a warrior who will be an herbalist and a blacksmith.
Jimmy is a shaman who will be a skinner and an alchemist.

George gives his ore to Jeff
Jeff gives his herbs to Jimmy
Jimmy gives his skins to George

All looted tradeskill items go to the respected tradeskiller... everyone is hooked up and clearly ahead of the game in comparison to those that didn't plan ahead.

This is what most of the big guilds in WoW are doing anyways, and it seems to work out nicely. Once we get more established (retail) we will also set up a mount fund so we can all have mounts asap. Guilds are about teamwork instead of personal gain. I'd like to see us all even powered instead of 2 or 3 people uber geared and the rest fall behind.

Is First Aid worth the effort?
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Aye.

I can confirm 3 or 4 other people (Prowl, Dersid, Madhawk). I'm not sure how close to release the game is but I'm going to try and convince em to join this guild instead of all of us doing our own thing.

I will buy your herbs from you Vonkaar, I need them for the healing potions that I make for everyone, and other potions too.

First Aid is definately worth the effort, even in its nerfed state.

First Aid = 0 downtime for me
