I think I sprained my wrists

Postby 10sun » Mon Feb 21, 2005 7:52 pm

no real pain while typing, but any sort of rotational movement(prime example is starting my truck, it makes my wrist scream) or moving them to any extreme or lifting up stuff that weighs more than 5lbs, such as reaching into my pockets or lifting a glass of water just creates pain.

This is from the classic catching yourself while you fall on your ass while roller skating... catching yourself hard and being too dumb to realize that my butt would take the blow a lot better than my arms would.

Would this be atypical of a sprain? It has been almost 10 years since I last sprained my wrist and it is about all I can think of.

That sounds like a fairly common sprain, I would try to keep it as isolated as possible in movement for a week or two see how it feels. May have compressed a couple ligaments, but sounds more like a sprain due to it doesnt hurt all the time
