I think I'm developing a major problem.

Postby Harrison » Sat Apr 30, 2005 2:44 am

I am awake for more than 24 hours before I even sleep...been doing so for about 2 weeks now. I can really feel it catching up on me. Everything I've tried isn't working... I can't sleep until it becomes "sleep or drop"

Considering seeing a doctor if this doesn't stop soon...when I do sleep it's for less than 8 hours and it doesn't really feel like I slept at all but can't go back to sleep regardless. :dunno: I am clueless here.
How do you like this spoiler, motherfucker? -Lyion

You need to see a doctor about that.

Yup, that aint healthy, completely disregarding what it is doing to your body, consider your brain, sleep deprevation is some bad stuff. Your neurons need time to recharge and rebalance the flow, that is what sleep does for you. In one of my Psych classes in college I did a paper on sleep and sensory depravation, unless your condition is drug induced (and jsut from what I know of you I would think not) you could have a more serious physiological problem or it could be a symptom of maniac depression or other chemical imbalances. Beware the "sleep apnea" diagnosis, it is an overused catch-all and usually results in lots of tests and not much real help.

You could turn up like me and forget 5 minute stretches while you drive. That's still a lot of fun :(
