Just because I didnt really know where to put this...
I made a pretty good sauce to go on noodles a while back. I made it with toasted sesame seeds and crushed red pepper flakes and it wasnt bad. Made it again just now without those two things and I like it much better. Anyway, it's very quick and easy.
Cook 1/2lb of angel hair pasta (I used regular spaghetti this time since its what we had)
While that is cooking, toast
1/4c sesame seeds
3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
(I omited both this time)
Stir constantly.
Remove from heat and add
3/4c reduced sodium tamari or soy sauce (make sure its rreduced sodium or it is WAY too salty)
1/4c sesame oil
2 tsp sugar
1Tbsp smooth peanut butter.
Put it back on the burner and boil for 2 minutes. Add sauce to noodles and mix. Cover with saran wra and let it steam for 10 or 15 minutes. Then shake to coat.
