I started boxing and running 4 days a week........ My waist went from 43 to 38. I took like 5 inches off my abs. I increased my pushups by 40, I increased my situps by 35.

I was at 240, I'm now at 208, my target is 193(Marine Recruit weight).

Before:
<img src="http://www.namelesstavern.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=919">

After:
<img src="http://www.namelesstavern.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=920">

*Sidenotes:
*I jumprope for 15 mins(non-stop), then run 1 mile(running not jogging)before every boxing practice.
*I do walking lunges every other day for about 100 meters.
*I do sprawls every day for 4x3 minute rounds.

The main factor in my weight loss occured after I had learned how to jump rope non-stop for more than 5 minutes.

I think it's the time of year...

In the last month and a half I've lost 16lbs.

I'm not posting until I can show signs of a 6 pack of abs. I could post my belly in 6 weeks too but you would all be blinded. haha

6 pack abs on chicks isn't hot. At all.

Just have a trim figure and stop it at that. Girls should be soft, not ripped.

WTF ever. I've already argued this point. Some men find strong women sexy.. just like some men are chubby chasers... and some men like women to be soft.

Personally I could care less what anyone thinks. I would love to have a fit AND muscular body. I am working towards being fit and healthy but somehow I doubt that the genetics will be turned in my favor to actually have cuts abs and that low of a body fat percentage where you can actually see them really well. I've never had that low of a body fat percentage but it should be interesting over the next few years as my body continues to transform to see how far I can push myself. If I do get that far then I would consider showing off my cut abs as a personal trophy for all my hard work!!!

You hit the nail on the head...literally. When I have a hard time getting through a workout I always close my eyes and go back to this same picture of me on the beach on a beautiful sunny day with my oh so athletic build in a bikini playing beach volleyball with dana and our two shelties running around barking and the crashing waves in the background. I try to think about how the sea air smells, all the sounds, how the sand feels between my toes, and it always helps. I've used that so much apparently I've also burned it into my unconscious mind too!! When I woke up from anesthesia after my surgery apparently I was doing the same thing but verbalizing it to people in the room. I have absolutely no memory of this!! I was only told about it later. I guess it was my way of dealing with the initial pain or maybe I was just delerious.

cool beans

im planning on losing 20 lb. within the next 2-3 months then i'm getting surgery for loose skin removal in december (secret: i used to be a real fat kid... since freshman year of HS i've lost over 120 lbs.) so hopefully after i get the surgery i'll be ripped and have a 6 pack... no matter how much i lose it's gonna be impossible to have one because of all the looseness

good job :DDDDDDD

I am sure Stacy or Mop will correct me if I am wrong, but I saw a personal trainer yesterday, and I was concerned about the flab of skin I have from the cancer and the C section. He told me that I was only 31, and my skin is still responsive enough to bounce back. I just gotta work hard at it. Which kills me. I am so sore.

I did all my weight loss on a 2000+ calorie a day diet. I also did that without supplements and all natural foods. The one thing that sucked was getting health food is impossible that has carbs. This stupid atkins craze has ruined the non-sedentary health food market. I go to buy some high fiber stuff at Hi-Health and get ripped off by this non-carb bullcrap.

I have since started taking supplements and am workin on a good equilibrium for my metabolism boosters & meal replacements as well as internal body cleansers.

Just remember cheating your body of carbs is cheating your body of energy to get off your ass.

Kiz - Did the BFL make sense for you? Did you look at it yet or talk to Mindia about his experience? That or I think you really should invest in the PT.

Re: the loose skin... Just tonight I was really checking out my body and I'm pretty convinced I'm going to need at least a tummy tuck and probably have to get my arms done. I may even end up doing the whole lower body lift but we will see in another 8 months to a year what exactly I am going to need. I'm also torn because I want to get pregnant first. I'll have to talk to my PS more about it. I'll probably go to the same surgeon that did my breast reduction a few years ago, Dr. Soto. He is a genius!

Kiz - Age is a major fact when it comes to elasticity of the skin. So is the number of years a person is overweight. Bodies respond differently so it really is hard to tell until you get to your "normal" healthy weight. Usually when you loose the amt I am losing (will end up being probably around 140 lbs total) it is necessary. I'm going to try hard to fill up what I can with muscle but that may not be enough.
Exercise does not cure loose skin.. only surgery can do that. Muscle can fill up some of the space from the fat loss but it may not always be enough.

D.Duck - Do you know exactly what you are having done yet? Best of luck and please stay in touch about your experience. I know the recovery can be difficult but the end result will be worth it! Good luck on the last 20lbs!
