Adi my aunt has a awesome ass Akita, his name is Kiko. They had another one named Kuma but she died :( Was actually sad how she died too, my little cousin was at home alone and my aunt was at the hospital with my other cousin (she was having a baby) and the doggie went into a convulsions and started bleeding from its eyes and ears and ect. One life gone as another was brought in.

Suess is a sweet heart in the house, outside the house I like to refer to him as satan.

The only good Pit Bull is one that kills cats. If they killed 100 cats for every human they bit - then maybe - just maybe - I would change my opinion of them..

I love akita's they are such cool dogs. Though I have much <3 for my shelties, there is nothing more entertaining than a dog on the other side of the street while suess goes dookie and is growling at the same time, it is truely rofles every time

I really like dobies too Diek. I just have a special place in my heart for Akitas for some reason.

Mop, it makes me lol when Meiko pees, she hops in a circle while squating to efficiently cover more ground ;)

A large number of Akita’s are talkers! They may grunt, groan and mumble to entertain themselves and you. This conversational verbalizing IS NOT growling and should not be interpreted as a growl, which sounds quite different. Akita "talking" is an endearing trait that should be encouraged and should not frighten you. After living with your dog, you will easily distinguish between talking and growling.

Most Akita’s enjoy carrying things around in their mouth, including your wrist! They may take you by the wrist to lead you to the cookie cupboard or to their lead. It is NOT an aggressive act; it is an endearing trait. If their "mouthing" is annoying to you, give them a job to do: allow your Akita to bring in the newspaper or the mail. They love to do these types of jobs.

These are probably two of the things that draw me to the Akita breed. I love these little quirks. You should hear it when Meiko gets talking, and she loves to mouth. Unfortunatly, she likes to wake people up by smacking them in the head with a shoe which she holds in her mouth. Its hard to get mad about it when you look up and she yowls at you and wags her tail so hard her whole body curls into a c shape ;)
