Chevron found new oil source in the deep water of Gulf of Mexico. Chevron estimates that it holds as much as 15 billion barrels of oil and gas reserves.

Some predictions say that it will increase the US' reserves by 50%. That said, it will take years for them to be able to exploit it.

According to the news, the oils from that field won't hit the market until late 2009 or early 2010.
