They are little kids (heh, the ones who arent terrorists to be) and honest families when im talking about people who are thankfull for the sacrifices being made. They are the people my friend met out on patrol before he got an extra hole in his body.

They are terrorists when im talking about people making car bombs. They are the people who put a hole in my friend, want to put a hole in my other friends, and want to kill you for being an infidel.

They are not the same set of people just because they reside in the same desert or have the same color skin. Some are fundamentalist jihadists and others (most people, from my friends telling) are honest people. Stop argueing semantics, there is no chance to survive.

Most of the insurgency isn't even Iraqi.

It is very apparent that Zanchief is clueless and therefor has no basis for his spiels of ignorance.

This isn't semantics. You can't say they hate us all and they love us all. Your distinction between these two people isn't very accurate. The Iraqis weren't the ones blowing up buses and cafes with TNT. The insurgents are protecting their home from an invading force, just like you guys did from the English so many years ago. If you want to hate them because "they put a hole in your friend" fine, but hate the dude that put your friend in front of a guy with a gun with a good reason to use it too.

I agree, my friend was stuck between two morons.

I never said everyone in iraq loves us all or everyone in iraq hates us all and ive since cleared that up so even the most simple of us should be able to understand who im talking about.

You've claimed both.

You've claimed that they hate you for your freedom.

You've claimed that they love you for your freedom.

I think it's fair to say that both blanket statements are inaccurate and the sentiment in the region is pretty mixed.

youve totally misunderstood what i was saying. i never said everyone in iraq loves us or hates us, and i agree it is fair to say sentiment is mixxed. But, from my friends over there, a good majority of the people living in iraq like at least that we ousted saddam.

Me personally, i really cant tell. It is impossible in my opinion to form an opinion from the shit we are fed on TV and in the papers, it is so convoluted that anything short of first hand experience means almost nothing anymore. I really find it impossible to fully trust any news source, and even then there is another side of the same story.

No, you said the people that shot your friend hate him indiscriminately.

You said that the people your friend met in Iraq have welcomed him with open arms.

Unless the Iraqis people send hugs and kisses through the barrel of a gun something doesn't jive.

christ on a crutch.

Yeah, i definately said the person that shot him hates him but loves him at the same time because all iraqis love and hate us at the same time. thats exactly what i said you clearly are a hand above me in finding that lapse of logic.

I still dont understand how the guy that shot him doesnt love and hate him at the same time i am a dumb american, lol.

I think it is time to drown my ignorance in a octuple quarter pounder and a liter of cola. My gosh i am stupid.

Psst, you are arguing American Current Affairs with a French Canadian. It's like discussing weight loss with Roseann Barr.

The above people like Americans and hope we stay. I have met them and been thanked over and over again for being there. So did my sister who was shot protecting them. She lived.

The above people loathe Americans (and any other people that don't have the same religion) and want us dead.

Two different types of people living in the same country with different beliefs. The latter group of people is the minority. Hard to comprehend, now? Maybe you just have to go there yourself or have someone close to you go there to understand.

It does seem a rather personal quote from you, especially the part about him being pretty.

as others have said, its the US's foreign policy that causes much hate for americans around the world

To aid foreign countries in their time of need is a bad policy? To help rid the world of dangerous dictators is a bad policy?

Keep tokin' on that glass pipe.

No... it's our continuously sticking our nose in where it doesn't belong. Constantly having to satisfy this urge to play World Cop. Then when we DO get involved we inevitably take the wrong side, or do so secrety (see all the warlords we've supported over the years).

We're sticking our nose where it does belong. That's what you don't get.
