Democrats now control Congress

The Democrats now control both the Senate and the House of Representatives. Bush will have a harder time pushing his agenda now.

That's all well and good, but what has me concerned is if the Demo's take the White House in a couple of years too. We've already seen the effects of having one party in control of all three branches. We can ill afford a repeat with the opp end of the spectrum. We NEED to have balance - that means one party in control of X branch and another party in control of Y branch.

i think things will change for the better..and when we need some asses kicked, we can call on the republicans to take the wheel for a little while

Bush can veto anything that comes across his desk that the new Democratic-controlled house tries to get through. That's the good news. For the next 2 years, don't expect a lot of changes.
