NEW YORK (AP) -- Genealogists have found that civil rights activist the Rev. Al Sharpton is a descendent of a slave owned by relatives of the late Sen. Strom Thurmond, a newspaper reported Sunday.

I dont know i can see getting upset over your great grand pappy owned my great grand pappy. People really have been killed over less. Reminds me of an episode of HOMICIDE life on the streets I saw one time.

well I'm sure that they're making such a big deal out of it due to the fact that both subjects are or have been extremists on either side. Silly that it's even news though. Hey, ancestors of white people owned ancestors of black people. Shocking!

I think ive seen that too. Zack morris was in the first episode of law and order svu I ever watched. He was gay for pay I couldnt beleive it.
