Naethyn not sure if you are aware of this:

Ron Paul is the one who introduced the liberty amendmant (H.J. Res 23). Besides eliminating income tax it would also reduce government to a strict technical level designated by the constitution within three years time.

Also while he is listed as a supporter of the "fair tax" I don't believe he's ever signed or voted for any legistation in actual support of it. His views on economic matters are either visionary or radical... take your pick 8).

considering that the federal reserve is neither federal nor a reserve i have a tendency to agree with this

Yeah, it's hard to give any reason whatsoever why having a private organization with little accountability to the government should be able to print money, control the country's supply of gold, and keep the country in perpetual and unpayable debt.

They caused the great depression too, those tools. X(
