Gulf states launch joint nuclear energy project

More countries in the middle east are developing nuclear energy.

A decision by the six- member Gulf Cooperation Council to launch an innocent-sounding joint nuclear energy development project is the clearest signal yet that Iran’s nuclear programmes, whether sinister or not, could hasten the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction across the Middle East.


The Gulf countries -- Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE -- made clear that, like Iran, they want nuclear know-how for “peace purposes”.

Like it or not other countries have the right to step up to the table of the modern world. If they dont attack anyone i dont think there is a lot we can do about it. The invasion of iraq prolly has everyone over there wanting some "protection".
