Sarah Palin on Fox

Postby ClakarEQ » Tue Jan 12, 2010 9:00 am

So it seems she got an anchor spot or some shit on Fox news. Now I think folks know I'm not fan of her or most Reps however, the news I caught of NPR this AM got me thinking. They made comments re: how many Reps don't care for this as there is a concern she will fragment their party since she is all rogue and shit.

Then I thought that even though I don't like her at all really, that the outcome could be beneficial. I'm of the opinion that Dems are already pretty fragmented, not all the time but I think it is common knowledge Dems tend to hold to their own even when the party wants you to go in a specific direction. Reps IMO tend to go with the party regardless of their own perspectives, more so than dems.

Point is, if she can some how break up the big majority 2 party system (Dem's & Rep's), the overall outcome could be a really good thing.

Thoughts on my ramblings?

I don't think it's going to do anything at all.

Anyone with a brain doesn't give a shit what one specific person does in relation to their entire party.

she's going to be a pundit on some show

i think it's probably the best spot for her

Rather blows a large hole in whatever faint shreds remained of Fox noise channel's claim to be "fair and balanced", eh? Obviously anyone with any capacity for reasoned thought knew that Fox is nothing but an unofficial mouthpiece for the GOP, but this might cause even the less bright to twig to the fact.

What I found more amusing were the revelations from that new book about the 2008 campaign, "Game Change", about stuff she did NOT know... Things like: Why there is a north and south Korea. She had no idea what the Federal Reserve does. She repeatedly stated that Saddam was behind 9/11. here's the quote:

"Her foreign policy tutors are literally taking her through, 'This is World War I, this is World War II, this is the Korean War. This is the how the Cold War worked.' Steve Schmidt had gone to them and said, 'She knows nothing,'"
Heilemann told Cooper. "A week later, after the convention was over, she still didn't really understand why there was a North Korea and a South Korea. She was still regularly saying that Saddam Hussein had been behind 9/11. And, literally, the next day her son was about to ship off to Iraq. And when they asked her who her son was going to fight, she couldn't explain that."

The fact that ANYONE would hire her in any sort of position of importance is something I find both hysterical and deeply scary.

The npr clip mentioned things like how one goes from e-tv to the white house though, and as of yet, no one has been able to do it (and several have tried). While at the same time, folks that have run for pres. have gone into e-tv.

I'm waiting for Ryan Secrest(sp) to become president /giggle.

Paliln and Conan two of the unfinniest people on TV.... One because they lack original humor... The other because she make me tired

Leno maybe old school but I've always liked him better and it's more than obvious the majority agrees. Connan, seems too flighty or something about him, I just don't like.

The other day one of his guests pretty much caught him lying. He had on the guy from the Alvin and the Chipmunks, towards the end of the chat, Coco said how much he liked the movie, even tho it really wasn't his tastes or some shit, asked how hard it must be to do voice over's and not have the other folks there, problem was it was the actual actor IN the movie (Steve?), not a voice over guy. Coco is a tool IMO.

Ferguson, when I do catch him, aye, he's funny to me and pretty much watch him now and again.

lol true tikk i still think Letterman perfected the late night format for the past 20 years, seems that most everyone else is chasing his schtick, which is a bit tired at this point
i can't even watch Leno, weak sauce and i appreicate ol conan just think he is mediocre
i have not watched ferguson though

conan has been HILARIOUS to watch throughout this whole ordeal and i don't remember laughing this much at late-night tv in a long time. my favorite of all is definitely craig ferguson because of how loony he is. so much fun! and handsome, with a great accent. ferguson is tops to me, and conan and letterman are generally tied for second, except right now coco totally has the edge. :)

saw a political cartoon the other day, a fox exec was saying to conan (paraphrased) "sorry conan, we'd like to pick you up for a talk show, but we just blew our comedy budget" while pointing at palin, who was saying "you betcha!"

Who cares about what she says, it's just a publicity stunt to bring attention to her party, she's the current clown/scape goat. Anyone with a brain should know that ruling party is always the same, regardless of what they name them self. We got a big clown show to make everyone think that elections make some kind of a difference every four years, while people at the top are same law/political science majors that are attempting to set economic and scientific policies on subjects they have no understanding, while spending majority of time doing publicity or worrying about next election. Yet every four years "brainiacs" expect things to change.

I like Sarah Palin, but I hope she doesn't run for VP again. We might get stuck with barry for another four years, and that's a frightening thought. Republicans need to get focused and get back to their conservative roots and come up with a truly conservative candidate with leadership ability. Romney would be a great candidate, but they'll probably screw that up by giving him a retard for a running mate.
