On this vein, I think the cultural problem is also under appreciated in discussions. You really can't compare Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc to the mentality of 'us vs them' that seems to permeate. I would like to believe the answer is education, but again the people who tend to be radicalized tend to be the most educated, and believe freedom and human rights are secondary to Islam. There are crazies in every religion, and it's disturbing people want use red herrings in comparison, but these statistics are the root cause of why we have so many issues.

i think a lot of americans kid themselves about islam cuz the dude at the gas station or college class is cool with em. Hes cool cuz hes a minority and the shit he thinks doesnt hold a lot of weight. If you want to see what islam is really about take a look at the countries where they are a majority.
