Hm, do the kids belong with the dad who lived off mom's career and seems loserish in general, or the mom who believes in driving off with her kid in her lap totally ignoring the fact that there are laws against that... man, that's a tough call....I would like to see an option "C" they go with social services, but I'm sure it won't happen.

In her defense, she drove away with the kid on her lap because he was freaking out because they were being totally bombarded by paparazzi. So rather than elbowing her way through the crowd of photographers, trying to buckle her kid into the car seat in the back seat while dudes are shoving cameras in your face and into the car and into your kids face, she jumped in the car with the kid on her lap, went two blocks, pulled over and strapped the kid in.
Hardly grounds for social services.
You obviously haven't done much parenting.
It's still illegal no matter what, I don't pity her because she's a celebrity and has camera issues. Granted I think there are times when she's been photographed and it's just been bad timing (her tripping holding her son, for instance) but when I went through a driving class for my work, one of the stories they told was about a grandma who had her grandchild in her lap while driving, and when hit the child flew like a bullet, and went through the windshield. Worst case scenario? Perhaps. But car seats exist for a reason, and are law for a reason, and by letting her off for any reason just sets a poor example for everyone else.

At least when I become a parent I will be parenting my own children. It's still illegal no matter what, I don't pity her because she's a celebrity and has camera issues. I'm not going to argue with you because you are incapable of putting yourself in someone else’s shoes. You obviously don’t like Britney Spears, you probably didn't like her before this incident and this incident has just given you ALL the justification in the world to label her a baaaaaaaaaad mother. Congrats, you knew it all along.

And have you considered that it might have been impossible to strap her kid into the car seat. Like there is no room to maneuver because there are 25 dudes with cameras pressed up against you?
And lets just say for the sake of arguing, ok, she made a bad decision. You honestly think thats grounds for taking the kid away from her mother and putting the kid in a foster home?
rofl. Oh yeah, it has nothing to do with not liking Britney Spears.
please give us examples of your obvious exemplary and extensive parenting experiences

I don't remember saying I have any. It doesn't take a parent to realize that taking a kid away from his mother because she didn't strap him into a car seat (one time) is a bit over the top. That IS what your girlfriend suggested.

You quoted Tikker. I *think* Tikker was talking to Taxx but I'm not entirely sure.
And you still have yet to dispute anything I've said except that social services shouldn't take her child away for that one "mistake". She's lucky her one "mistake" didn't cost her child his life. It wasn't just a "mistake". She broke the law and every article I read proved it was easily avoidable. So it's just another case of stupidity and child endangerment left unchecked.
Ginzburgh wrote:I will admit she made a mistake. Millions of parents make mistakes with their children every day. Probably because parents are human beings and human beings make mistakes.
What I am disputing is the fact that you think the child should be taken away because of that mistake. Which I think is ridiculously over the top.
And that's it
