I used to really like Rachael Ray but over the last couple of years, her hand gestures and quirky sayings are getting on my nerves.

I like watching Bobby Flay's Throwdown sometimes. The only thing is that it kinda bothers me that he just kinda butts in on these people in front of their families and is like "whaddup amateur. I bet I can make that better. Wanna have a throw down?" I hate it when he wins because its like he's rubbing it in that he's a pro chef and they aren't. Sometimes he goes overboard with the ingredients too. Sometimes things are perfect when they are simple and cheap.

And Gyps, I laughed when I read what you read about that Italian bitch and how she pronounces mozzerella. It's like you got in my brain and said exactly what I think. Damn that toothy bitch. Never trust a skinny Italian!

I like alton brown, but his show is pretty cheesy - like i think he has awesome information, but the horrible acting and horrible unfunny jokes start to kill it for me after a while

and omg Jen I said the same thing. I love throwdown but I always said it's kind of stink how he's all "i challenge you!" when he's a pro. i think most of the cooks look at it more like "wow a chef of that caliber thought i was good enough to challenge" - I like it when he loses - gets those businesses way more customers =)

Being a big food network fanboi for a long time,
Sandra Lee is much hotter than Rachel or Giada (can you say spa-geh-tee). Giada has a jaw bone that goes for miles and I'm not a big fan of girls with jawbones that go further out than your ears.

Anyway, Alton is cool more for the info, I like how it brings logic and science to the show, pretty neat IMO.

For those that are food network fans, the old Iron Chefs are on TLN (the learning network, I think /shrug). I enjoy those a bit more than the new iron chef because 90% of the time it's Bobby cooking.

Also, for those that are long time food network watchers, was it just me or did you all think Bobby Flay was a dickhead, say 2 years ago. Just after the "grillin-chillin" show, I felt like he was a dick. He has gotten much better and I must say I enjoy the ass handing that happens in ThrowDown (it rarely wins).

my favorite food-related show is where gordon ramsey or whatever from hell's kitchen goes into restaurants that look really incredible but in the end they're ass-backwards and he totally redesigns the whole restaurant. i think i only like it because basically i worked in places similar to where he goes
