Since when did societal pressures affect a God and what he wants you to do in life? Ummmmm....right.
And you were the one who responded to the quote saying that being pro-choice ISN'T a mortal sin. My point there was, as I said, that you're not qualified to declare that.
This is all of course in the event that there are deities or a singular deity at all. Just for the sake of conversation I am assuming there is the possibility of one or more.
it isn't, the catholic edict completely omits pro-choice. So, you are wrong, I am able to make that statement and the statement is correct.Harrison wrote:And you were the one who responded to the quote saying that being pro-choice ISN'T a mortal sin. I have to disagree to a point. It isn’t the church per say creates divides. It’s the PEOPLE who attend the church. The true to form REAL believers are not judgmental. It’s those who attend church because it’s “fashionable.” And, there are a LOT more of those “types” than there are true to form believers. They give the church a bad rep. Most of them know nothing of the teachings contained in the scriptures, they’re more concerned with who dresses the best on Sunday.

Unless the Pope said it, it doesn't really represent an entire religion, and if the Pope doesn't support this man's agenda, he's on his own. If an entire religion is going for this, attack away, I suppose. It doesn't really change their views, I assure you.
Haylo wrote:I disagree Diekan. The leadership of the Church does indeed create the divides. They teach you that other people and other beliefs are wrong and that those people are not as worthy. The people inside the church take their cue from what's being told to them. Rank and file members aren't the ones that start the holy wars, it's the Church organization that we have to thank for that.
