Kerrys wife of course.

To me rich is rich, doesn't matter if your clearing 1,000,000 a year or 100,000,000 a year. This wasn't about which of the rich had the most money. It was about an idiot statement saying that the reps are rich and dont know what an honest days work is. All that list showed is that there are just as many rich dems as reps.

People with common sense know the senate is a bunch of rich white peoples pretending to be for the people, but actually serving their own powers ends, states pork, and insider special interests.

I don't differentiate, but it's just a tad funny when one listens to Diekan. You go, girl.

im thinking diekan is talking about the rich publicans that arent actually in office or directly part of DC politics. ya know... the 'average' voter type.

bringing up a list of politicians with money then trying to say 'owned!' is fuckin stupid. go get a list of the 500 richest business orientented amercans with their political affiliation next to their name.

So, what Diekan is saying basically is that republicans are smarter investors. I would tend to agree with that.

well considering the two richest motherfuckers are pretty much super liberals, and their wealth combined pretty much dwarfs the rest of em... you can think or say what you like.

Heinz. Nuff said. It doesn't take investment savvy to inherit millions of dollars.

Kerry didn't inherit Heinz. Anyway, being rich because you made alot of money doesn't necessaraly mena your investment savvy. I could just mean you were either lucky or you hired the right person to handle your investments.

My Ex's uncle has well over 10M, why because he was a programmer with AOL when it released and he had a huge chunk of stock. He sold it when he didn't care about it anymore and bam millions. Had nothign to do with savvy investing, was just luck that he received a huge chuck of stock in what was going to become a major Internet provider.

My point exactly. Tuggan is making out like the richest guys in Congress are democrats and are the smartest investors, and he was referencing John Kerry's money which we all know he MARRIED into because his wife inherited the money because she's a HEINZ heiress. That does not make John Kerry a shrewd investor, or a moreso shrewd investor over his republican colleagues. I thought that point was pretty elementary. I hope dumbing it down helped you to understand more clearly.

Do you really think most of the rich in this country are on the right side of the fence? If you do, let's you and I make a little wager. I'll make a list of rich lefties and you make one of rich righties. Whoever has the shortest list after a day owes the other $1 for each he's short. And I won't even use Google!

To be fair about the earlier discussion, if you look at list of the richest Reps, GOP members top that list quite handily. It's almost the exact opposite of the Senate list, oddly enough.

I am very liberal on civil liberties and conservative in regards to the economy and social welfare, but I usually vote republican.

That having been said most of the time when I hear a liberal talk they are either slinging shit or whining. When they whine they never ever have a solution to the problem at hand, but instead just cry and point fingers.

It is really hard to take the dems seriously anymore.

Its hard for democrats to have a solution to anything because a lot of their positions are ridiculous. They just look at the benefit of an idea and ignore the reality of things.

Ie:

Dem: *whine* We need a higher minimum wage. ITS NOT FAIR. It should be at least 10 dollars.

Reality: Small businesses would go under, larger businesses would make major cutbacks and fire loads of employees. Prices would skyrocket to accomodate the new costs. Less people would get hired and the cost of living would go up.

Dem: ITS NOT FAIR. *whine*

I'll never consider an average working class person a "Republican" - I'll refer to them as "wanna be's." Real Republicans are wealthy, rich, whatever you wanna call it. And, I agree with Dean that probably very few of the selfrighteous fuckers have ever done anything that you could remotely call *work.* They get their money off the backs of people like us.

I've always hated the GOP and will always hate the GOP. I don't hate the wanna be's, because I know someday they'll wake up... the day they realize that real republicans see them as low class garbage who's sole purpose on this planet is to cater to their needs and whims.

It is egocentric rhetoric like this that Lyion is exactly describing.

Way to go and prove his point Diekan.
