The fact that you disagree doesn't change that. So sorry, I feel your pain. OK, no, I don't.

The U.S. flag is not just "another piece of cloth" to me, and to a whole lot of other Americans. What are you gonna do? Burn the flag every time a policy goes into effect that you disagree with, or burn the flag every time a politician does something you don't like? If you don't like America... MOVE your ass out. Nobody is restraining you or forcing you to live in the United States.

The Supreme Court has already ruled on this. It said that burning the flag is legal. So if you dont like it, perhap you should move your ass out.

This kid is not going to get away with it because it was not his flag that he burned, but it was someone else's.

Just for the record, words can in fact be treasonous in the U.S.

Flag burning is an utterly silly form of protest, but honestly it's not that big of a deal. You burned something that you can buy for less than $100 at stores across the nation, that thousands of people routinely leave exposed to deleterious weather and fail to handle properly. If you want me to consider your pet issue, I suggest constructing a well-reasoned argument on its behalf rather than indulging your inner pyromaniac. If you just want to make a dramatic, largely useless statement, flag burning can't hold a candle to self-immolation.

Yeah, but self-immolation is kinda painful even if you have a costco size bottle of aloe.

If you want to impress me with a dramatic statement without bothering to contruct a reasoned argument behind it, you'd better be willing to at least endure pain while undergoing it! I still probably won't buy the position being espoused, but at least I'll pay attention while being entertained by the tormented suffering of others.

Ick, Folsom. One of the true armpits of the state of California, right up there with Lodi and Bakersfield. Even if you want to live near Sacramento, couldn't you pick someplace with a BIT more to it, like, say, Grass Valley, Nevada city, or maybe even, oh, hrm, Auburn or Roseville? Folsom. Bleah. Maybe actually live IN Sacramento? Still doesn't have as much culture as you can find in the average jar of Yoplait, but at least it has SOME. Folsom. That explains much.

While I must admit, the temptation to get you arrested for assault, and then sue you for gazillions for "pain and suffering" (assuming you actually did any damage, which is unlikely) IS rather tempting, it'd take a lot more than that to get me to actually voluntarily go to a shithole like Folsom. Maybe I'll just burn a flag here, tape it, then link you the AVI. I can just imagine you shaking your fist at the monitor in your impotent, frustrated and small-minded rage. /glee

Oh, yes, by the way, 10 e-toughguy points for trying to get me to come actually fight with you over the internet, though. /pat /pat. There's a good little narrow-minded zealot. You have a long career ahead of you in e-thuggery, I can tell! Just look at your career already!

Again, legal flag-burning is the law of the land. Already been dealt with by the highest court there is. You don't like America's laws? Leave. I am sure you can find a country that doesn't allow flag-burning. Good luck with that! And hey, at least you'd be out of Folsom!

it's actually the rule to burn a flag that has become too worn and tattered to be presentable

so not only is it perfectly legal, but it's even suggested in some cases

Coming from you that truly warms my heart. Don't you have an abortion clinic to bomb or a book burning to attend?

Dont bother changing the sig. I shall revert it and change the bbcode to keep this one.

Again, Arlos proving to the world that his knowledge is tantamount to that of a mongoloid.

Here's a link to some real estate in the "armpit" of Folsom, CA.

Heck, I didn't even have to wave that "owned" flag. Arlos always manages to own himself... I don't even have to do it for him.

ACtually Phlegm is correct. You think people should leave the country if they dont like the way things are, well you dont like that flag burning is legal. If you feel strongly about it, you can feel free to leave.

OMG, Mindia just had a NEWS FLASH that houses near major cities in California are, like, EXPENSIVE! Who would've thunk it? /gasp. I mean, people sell 700 sq foot 1 BR "condos" (effectively a 1 BR apartment you buy) for 450k.

BTW, news flash, Reverend Dingleberry, a town doesn't have to have nothing but shitty housing to be an Armpit. When it's spitting distance from a major prison, AND is home to people like you and those who have similar attitudes, it qualifies, even if it DOES have some houses that cost a lot, in an amazing similarity to oh, I dunno, THE REST OF THE FUCKING STATE.

Folsom is a very affluent and expensive community. You know nothing of this area. You just owned yourself (again). The prison doesn't bother anybody here btw...

Why don't YOU move there so you can burn a flag without catching hell for doing it? Makes more sense.
