Freedom to Fascism thoughts

Postby KaiineTN » Sat Jan 27, 2007 4:30 am

So, I downloaded and watched Freedom to Fascism the other day, and some of the things said in there were hard to swallow. Those of you who have seen it, what do you think about it? Those of you who haven't, it's worth checking out. Grab the torrent.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it completely retarded that the government isn't in control of printing currency, and that it uses our tax money to pay interest alone on the debt to the same entity that has the power to create money at will? Isn't that completely unnecessary? Am I missing something?

Also, are there any arguments that oppose some of the things in the film, or new information since it was made?

It's not just you. Our fiat currency system is retarded and that's not even the worse of it. Keep digging and you will find more than you need to make you sick to your stomach. Enjoy!

I wish they hadn't expanded into shit like Federal Reserve conspiracy theories and tracking chips ect. They should have stuck with the primary premise to hit the point home. Any divergence from the important focus (that there is no law mandating wage workers pay an income tax, that the income tax is not constitutional, that the IRS operates outside the law, ect) just makes excess fodder for critics to fixate on.

But yeah - I've actually been reading a few things that talk about the possibility of the Federal Reserve playing a major part in causing the great depression. @_@ Freaky stuff.
