The scenario they paint sound all-too plausible, honestly. I would agree we definitely need vastly more transparency in the financial markets. Note that transparency is not control, it's still a free market, it just means who is doing what can't hide behind a smoke screen.

I agree we need more transparency and tighter regulations. Anyone who's bought Sirius stock knows this all to well. Business people are worse than lawyers, much worse. They'll sell out their country and even their own mother's for a profit. They need to be watched closely and more transparency for the rest of us to see what they're doing.
I am ALL for drilling more oil here and breaking our dependence on foreign sources - but I also think that if we do so we are going to have to pass laws to forbid the oil companies from selling our spoils over seas. We can pump all the oil we want out of Alaska et al, but will do us no good if Exxon turns around and sells it to China right from under us.
