Even our own people think so. I really hope he or his top admins get arrested when they visit a foreign nation, I can only hope.

IMO, he and his top 5 or so admins should go to jail, forever (including Rice, Chenney, Rumfeld, etc).

Sure, I bet he would get a fair trial by his peers in Crawford, TX and justice would be served. Oh wait....

I'd be interested in reading the whole report, as the conclusions and reasoning behind them cited in the article indicate a very flawed logical deduction. Applying the same logic, support for military training to kill enemy soldiers under the specific circumstances of combat would translate into culpability if that soldier later goes on to kill someone outside of combat. You taught them to kill, and gave them the message that it was okay to do so, never mind that it was under specific circumstances.

There also has to be "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors", of which not even the most frothing of fanatical crazed right-wingers has produced even a shred of even vaguely believable evidence of....

thanks for that, einstein. it's blatantly obvious, as his avatar did not go up until after November 4th, that Mindia's is directly related to his presidency, a position which he does not yet occupy.

I do always appreciate your popping in to condescend to others as if they're pre-schoolers, though.

I'm sure Mindia is quite well aware that Obama hasn't taken office yet. One of the possible outcomes of an impeachment is that the subject of such can be excluded from holding any future public office. Impeachment regarding his Senate seat could prevent him from being sworn in as President. The technical mechanics are there, so if one's motivation were to keep him from ever taking office, advocating impeachment in the here and now before he takes office would be a valid tactic to that end.

As far as reasons that could be stated in articles of impeachment despite Arlos's claim there have been a multitude of charges from the right, much like there have been regarding Bush from the left. There are even currently law suits against both Bush and Obama that haven't been thrown out of court. That being said drafting articles of impeachment is one thing, actually having them stick is an entirely different matter. Conviction for Treason is extremely rare, and while High Crimes or Misdemeanors are not exclusionary to written law it is in the best interest of the country as a whole that impeachment is a fairly rare practice less it become more of a political weapon and less of a practice meant to full fill the specific purpose of holding public officials to high standards of conduct.
