I'm sure many would say, yeah but they're X age, it's the parents fault, etc etc.

In many ways, it is your fault, and mine, or perhaps our parents, we should never have let the media get such a strangle hold on our news. Yet IMO it is so far entwined that news no longer exists main stream and all the news is more of a media buzz / talk soup experience.

If 50% of our nation gets it's news from TV, we are soooo utterly fucked

TV is driven by ratings. If no want to watch this craps, it wouldn't be on. That's why VH1 and MTV no longer show music videos, just retarded faked reality craps.

I know Phlegm, and I also know there is no going back, it's just one of those things I wish the hands of time could be rolled back and a redo taken.

Part of my post also came from an issue in Italy. The President there just got his "I'm above the law" rights revoked and many of the politicians want to put him in jail, and he probably belongs there. The problem however is he also happens to own something like 90% of the TV companies / market.

80 some odd % of the Italian populace gets news from one source, TV, hmm, I doubt he'll ever see a jail cell, even though from many perspectives the guys is guilty as sin.

he isn't even worth talking about. giving this piece of shit his own show on BET only serves to reinforce negative (not necessarily true) stereotypes considering the reputation of dogfighting in low-income black communities. like I said in the sports thread - this guy is being made into a hero when he should be pounding the pavement praying for a job at Burger King.
