Could pay for TP's to travel some places. Sounds like it would be cool but I don't think it will ever happen, especially used as mass transportation for humans.

And, if a computer is storing all the information on all of the atoms, such that we can be re-assembled, why could it not crank out a nearly infinite set of copies of that individual? I'll take a Catherine Zeta Jones of my very own, plzkthx.

It will probably cost alot to use the teleportation device though.

Can you see all the regulations this thing would have?... what about people hacking into this computer and sending a Nuke(s) to a country and decimating it in seconds.

You are right, it would be stupid to think that anyone would hack a computer. It would be wrong to think there would be any regulations at all on teleportation.... Oh yeah terrorism is dead, we killed it right?

Hey you want to know an interesting fool proof anti-haxor technique....

Take that little cable that plugs into your cable modem/network and unplug it.

    BAM hacker proof computing!

Do you honestly think that the super geniusesese that manage to invent a teleportation device are going to let some dumbass script-kiddy hax0r fuck up their computer?

Think about medical uses, for example, you store your fresh "data" every day, then, your legs get cut off or something.. teleport yourself and rematerialize with your old leg information!

I really hope you aren't serious. Super geniuses have created 8 bit encryption before, and of course there's no way any dumbass script-kiddy hax0r will fuck up their computer right? Simply ignorant.

To denounce that this could ever happen, or anything wrong will ever happen, when it isn't anywhere near completion, is simply stupid. Shit even the Titanic was full-proff, what about the safest ride in the Hindenburg?

My origional post was about the many regulations this item would need, hacking was just an example on how this could be a very bad thing. Shit two people could do it, a suicidal person to accept & receive the package via teleportaion in said country & the person sending it.

The most secure computer systems in the world have been hacked, many of them are now maintained by the people who hacked them. Security on these are systems change daily and they still get hacked. The only truely secure computer is one that isn't connected to anything, but then again, if your moving information from 1 computer to another they have to be connected. If your doing it over large distances with multiple destinations then they all need to be interconnected.

Now the most secure way to do this would be to actually run a direct cable between each individual computer, obviously this isn't going to happen meaning that is would have to use the same connections as other people use. It is vulnerable.

Maybe you should understand the topic atleast to a minor degree before you pop out with your [smiley poster=angry]RETARD[/smiley].

Hey wild fucking idea here make it a closed system as in not connected to a network. Then put people to guard it.

You are one dumb bastard that is no lie. I hope if they invent teleportation they send your retarded ass into the middle of the sun to prevent you from breeding.

So you honestly think they will actually run seperate connections to every individual unit across the world for the sole use of that system, and also guard every inch of that connection?

Any computer connected to any network of any kind is vulnerable. Not to mention, the people guarding and using said connection can also be the cause of the problem.

Listen to Gidan if you won't listen to me. And if this is a closed system perfect, you take away the ability to hack the system from the outside. Guards of course can be bribed to help or look the other way. Not to mention you would have to fully trust the source it is coming from (intercontinental trading & teleportation).

lol this is funny, you are sitting there calling me a 'dumb bastard' while proving my origional point of the many regulations this system would need.

    Just wondering Insano:
Would the guards know how to use the device?
Would the controlers be able to access this device without supervision?
Would the controlers be on a swing shift so anything can be teleported all day long?
What kind of security would you have for this closed system?
Would anyone outside of the Teleportation site personel know the security?
Would there be an automatic offsite shutdown in case of emergency?

There are just a few questions that come to mind when dealing with an item this powerful.

    /thanks Gidan.

P.S. sorry Insano, breeding has already begun, 2 kids already, most likely another one in the future.
