MCKEESPORT, Pa. -- A Mckeesport man was arrested in an alleged sexual assault of a baby girl.
According to Mckeesport Police, Kenneth Parms, 19, of Mckeesport formerly of West Mifflin raped the 19-month-old last week in an apartment off Coursin Street in Mckeesport.
The baby's mother told police she left her child with the suspect while she went to check her mail.
When the mother returned, Parms’ sister confronted her and told her she had seen Parms hold her child and sexually assault her, police said.
Police said when he was later arrested and questioned, Parms admitted to the sexual assault.
Police said they aren't certain that this was an isolated incident. They believe the child may have been abused by Parms before.
Parms faces charges of rape, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, and endangering the welfare of children among other charges.
Parms is now in the Allegheny County Jail on $50,000 cash bond.
The baby is recovering at home with her family.
Give me one reason why this piece of trash shouldn't be taken out and shot. Just one.
