Living where you can survive and fulfill your dreams is wise.

Again, having the ability to move somewhere, but not being able to put ones kids through college and barely being able to make it would not be good in most peoples eyes.

Anyways, it's normal for people anywhere to want to live where they have the best chance of success and a good quality of life. That isn't cliche American, it's simple common sense.
What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step.

i was talking about money, not success. unless success and money are, for some reason, interchangeable in your eyes... put your sweater back on, lyion, your capitalism is showing

and to actually contribute to the topic, kizzy.... my mother is a CN in one of the ICUs at her hospital and i can quite comfortably say she's making enough money to support two people, pay for a house, pay for her horse (which she boards at astronomical prices and rides professionally), and pay for my last two years' tuition.

i would say that's damn plenty to be paying for off of one person's income... this country pays pretty well in the medical field, as far as i'm concerned

That depends on which part of the country you live in. GA pays nurses next to nothing.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

If you want to make a lot of money as a nurse, come to California. They are recruiting heavily out here; offering bonuses and other incentives to nurses. They are even advertising position openings on television.
