So I was walking back from the coffee shop on Friday for my afternoon Chai. I saw a sign on the window with a picture of Matt Bailey, but because I was with friends, I didn't have the chance to stop and read it, I only noticed his picture and "All Proceeds to benefit his daughter" in big bold letters.

I met Matt months ago at a bar. He had been dancing, and something fell out of his coat pocket. It was a small silver case, and I opened it, and it contained business cards. I returned it to him,a nd we had struck up a conversation. This was back a few months ago when I was going to buy a new car. He worked for the Honda dealer.

Matt was an extremely good looking guy, and had a wife that would put most models to shame. She was expecting a baby any day, and she had a difficult pregnancy. I would ask him why he wasnt at home caring for his wife, and he said she understood that he liked to go dancing, and he was a good guy. He was an American Tuxedo dancer as well, and owned his own insurance company. He was very well off, in his late 20's and had everything a guy could hope for.

So I got to thinking that maybe his daughter was born with some rare heart deformity, which would make sense for them to start this charity. I called his office today to talk to him to find out if there was anything that I could do. Turns out that it wasn't his daughter. He was out playing golf with his buddies, and they had been drinking, and he decided to race a golf cart loaded with 6 full grown men down a steep incline. He fell off, knocked his head against a rock, and was killed instantly, leaving behind a beautiful wife and daughter.

Matt was a good guy, but it just goes to show, that if you are going to go out drinking, please be responsible.
