pisses me off to no end - he can't pay rent or bills, but he can buy a video game. You know there's no excuse for that. You KNOW this.

I know you have been friends with the guy for a while, but seriously, no REAL friend would take advantage of you the way he is (cause you never mentioned that he ever said he was concerned about the matter, which means he's not, which means he's not sorry either).

If he's moving out anyway by the end of the month, I can't say that it'd be really worth it one way or the other at this point to talk with him - 3 months ago would have been different. However, considering the situation, don't be surprised if he suddenly isn't moving out by the end of the month (because of whatever 5 billion excuses there might be). Should that happen, then I would defintely sit him down and talk with him.
If he's a real friend, he'll understand and get off his lazy ass and at LEAST pick up after himself, if not find a job to boot.

that's my roommate matt right now, he lost his job and has just been home chillin ever since... krystal (his fiancee and another roommate of ours) has been carrying him, just like she did last summer--paying his rent, buying him food and gas, yadda yadda... it's silly but it's not my place to do or say anything soooo we'll just see how it goes i guess.

No I was talking about Leah's roomate supporting her fiance...for the second time (at least), and several other women I know who support deadbeats who flit from job to job with long periods of unemployment in between. I don't see how men like that can look themselves in the mirror. "Hi my name is Fred and I do nothing" Somehow I just couldnt have any self-respect if someone else was paying all my bills while I did nadda.

Of course this is not a exclusively masculine thing to do, I know a few women who do the same....in fact I think I might have been married to one once.

Look Viv, I understand where both are you are coming from Unfortunately in my younger years I was the useless freeloader. However, his lack of concern does not make him anything more then a SLUB(Self Loading Useless Baggage) either kill him in his sleep or dump him in the street. You sanity and your hapiness should not be destroyed by someone who does not live up to his part of a friendship.
