I do this all the time. I consider it sociological behavior observational experiment.

My AP English teacher was like 37 when I took his class and he could follow the conversations of everyone around the room.

Well it's not working on just loiterers. It's working on kids in strollers and super nerdy kids that go to spelling bees and shit. Not only that, I'm sure if can be heard from the street where it's not even on his property.

Well ya sure, but like I said is it only annoying if you stick around or is it annoying to walk by briefly also?

Like, jackhammers are annoying but if I just have to walk by them they don't really agitate.. just if i stand and listen to them

i think your hearing stays stronger if you use it, like a muscle


no i think the hairs inside your ear canal gradually deteriorate and break. i don't think hearing is something you can hone really unless you lose another sense

yeah i guess that's true

but people always tell me what good hearing i have and they're not wrong, it surely is awesome

for it to be that acute after 10+ years of playing drums in rock bands as well as 4 years of high school drumline tells me something
