I'll tell you the same thing I tell customers.. you can ask til the cows come home, but in the end, it's your house and you need to pick what suits your eye the best.
It's really hard to gain perspective on what looks good to other people, and ideas from other people will inevitably be biased.
Personally, I'm into neutral colors because I don't want to have to repaint the whole thing aside from touchups when I resell - vivid colors on resale can be really great, or they can be your downfall because everyone doesn't want to have to tone down everything when they move in.
Are you custom building or is it a production builder?
