Taurus' are made in Brazil on old Beretta tooling. The PT's are licensed copies of the 92fs or M9. They are fairly good value for the price, but lack in finish and overall quality when compared to a real Beretta. The design of this pistol in general promotes issues with accuracy because of how the barrel locks when in battery. However most still shoot quite acceptably. My 92f knocks falling plates down all day, but you won't see me on the line in IDPA with it.
I would recommend a Springfield Armory XD over the Glock, especially when you're considering price to be a major factor in your purchase decision. The XD has numerous saftey features the Glock does not incorporate, such as the grip saftey and loaded chamber indicator. This line of pistols is, for me, much more ergonomic than the Glock, the sight line on the Glock pistols feels out of touch and high. Abidextrious magazine release, easy field stripping, I think Springfield took what Glock pioneered and made it better, for a better price and overall value. You will see me shooting Three Gun competitions with my XD-40. Look for a brand new one with case, bore brush, factory fired target and 2 high cap magazines for $450.
Eldred I think you mean Super Redhawk(double action)? Or Super Blackhawk(Single action)?
