Are you one of these people

If you're suffering from dry eyes, headaches, back aches, erratic sleep patterns, it may be more than just your average hangover...

No.

Because I leave my house for over eight hours each day, be it for work, the gym, or other social activities.

...according to Dr. Maressa Orzack, who is a crackpot doctor and has no idea what World of Warcraft even is.

If they weren't "addicted" to the game they'd be "addicted" to something else.

Drugs, pr0n, T.V., Food....the list goes on.

EQ definitely serves the same purpose for me that drinking would if I did that sort of thing, so I think this has some merit to it.

That said, having a game addiction is way less physically and financially damaging than drinking/drugs/gambling/overeating. If you've gotta have a crutch to drown out the world, games are a relatively good one. $15 a month to support an addiction is pretty cheap. :P

It's retarculous to think of things like WOW as a threat though in that regard - people become ensnared with addictions for internal reasons: the external manifestations are merely the path they choose to escape with.
