My top ten cities to live in

Postby The Kizzy » Wed Oct 05, 2005 12:03 pm

1.) Boston- I lived near there growing up, plus I like the Irish Pubs.

2.) Seattle- I hear it is beautiful all year tound and decent weather (if you don't mind rain)

3.) Chicago- went there a few years ago, and it was alot of fun, beautiful area.

4.) Denver- see above

5.) San Diego- see above (although cost of living was very high)

6.) New York City- I don't have a reason, I have always liked it there.

7.) Austin- miss my family

8.) Cleveland- I am already here, why move again?

9.) Las Vegas- What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas

10.) Sacramento- I heard it was nice

I don't think anyone would want to live there given the choice.

I wouldn't mind maybe the bigger cities like Philadelphia or Pittsburgh. It was okay. I really like how the state cares about the children's education. That was what I got from it anyway.

Boston is a shit hole. The people are unfriendly, the city is run down and dirty, and the Irish pubs are only interesting for about a week or two. Go there, do the tourist thing, then leave. I was there for a year and a half on a contract and it was one of the worst places I have ever lived.

Great places on MY list:

- Hilton Head, South Carolina - best beach town on the East Coast. Quiet, clean, and not run down like most beach cities. A little high dollar, but it's worth it for the environment.
- Lake Tahoe - Pristine. Gorgeous views, friendly people, clean air.
- Salt Lake City - very much like Tahoe... accept no friendly people... but you get polygamy in trade! ;)
- Long Island, NY - all the benefits of NYC without Manhattan.

I was doing some research online last night. It seems that no matter where you live, the payscale is basically the same for an RN. Kinda seems like you would want to live somewhere that cost of living is cheap.

    Thanks for the ideas, Langston.

i vote Vancouver to replace seattle, has cheap semi-legal weed and tons of hot asian girls, less rain than seattle, and most importantly, less yuppies and pretentious coffee shops.
